As a lucky pedagogue, I had the opportunity to hone my skills in many classrooms, online, and across several courses during my 9 years teaching. Working at a community college, regional master’s institution, and an R1 land grant university has made a difference in students’ lives and my own. I have taught: ENGL 411: Technology, Rhetoric, and Professional Communication, ENGL 314: Technical Communication, ENGL 302: Business Communication, ENGL 250: Written, Oral, Visual, and Electronic Composition, ENGL 150: Critical Thinking and Communication, English 1091: College Composition I: Critical Reading and Source-based Writing (Honors), ENG 1001: College Composition I: Critical Reading and Source-based Writing, ENG-121: Composition II, ENG-120: Composition I, ENG-005: Foundations in Composition, IEL-009: Intermediate Grammar/Writing I, RDG-050: Reading and Study Skills I, RDG-009: Essentials in Reading, and RDG-007: Fundamentals of Reading. Across all of these courses I have had stellar reviews from my students and commentary that would inspire pride and confidence in any teacher. On the pages in this section, I provide the global evaluation data illustrating student experiences in my recent classes and share a selection of their commentary on my courses and instruction.
